Arctic Infra has signed a contract to perform ground work for a switchgear in Piteå. The customer is WT Energisystem AB and the contract includes ground and concrete work, pipe work and cable work. The project starts immediately.

In the spring of 2020, Arctic Infra presented their second subsidiary focusing on construction work. Now the company signs with WT Energisystem AB to build a 130 sq transformer station with a associated control system.

- With the new subsidiary, the goal was to make pure construction projects, and also be able to support our other business areas with high competence. This contract means that we have to collaborate between our subsidiaries and we are looking forward to create good synergies and an even better result, says Johan Taavo, Project Manager at Arctic Infra.

The project includes ground work, building a station, road work, pipe and cable work, and foundations. The station is set to be finished during the autumn of 2021.

- Our customers and current legislations put a great demand on high operational reliability. New technology and climate changes make a demand for switchgear, in order to create an expansive and sustainable society. We are very proud to be a part of a project which will result in a secured power consumption in Piteå. We are taking a holistic approach to this project and we will include experienced workers and high-quality engineers. Together we will make a great result, says Daniel Isaksson, Project Manager, Ground and Infrastucture at Arctic Infra.
