Arctic Infra performs infrastructure work for LKAB
Arctic Infra has signed a deal with LKAB for a new project including excavation and pipe work. The project is a preparatory work for when LKAB are going to replace the railway yard in Kiruna.
To replace the railway yard, a bank filling must be carried out by the dried-up part of Lake Loussajärvi. Before that work begins, Arctic Infra is going to make sure that the infrastructure in the ground can uphold the weight of the bank filling. The project includes excavation, filling, water, and pipe work.
- We are always happy to work with LKAB and be a part of the future. The project starts immediately, and we will continue to create maximum value for our customers. We are looking forward to this one, says Bengt Eliasson, site manager Arctic Infra.
The project begins in July and is one of many LKAB projects that Arctic Infra has been assigned to.
- In a very short amount of time, Arctic Infra has built a strong organization, from Luleå to Gällivare and Kiruna. We have a common way of looking at quality and sustainable work. With this project, we now have three LKAB projects at the same time, it is going to be a good summer for us, says Lars Eriksson, project manager Arctic Infra.
